"24/245—The Day the House Felt Alive"

Hello namaste

Welcome to another blog,

I already knew today was going to be full of happiness, memories, and family moments.

I woke up around 6:20 in the morning and first started cleaning the varanda. After that,I arranged the bedroom properly and changed the bedsheet. Around 7 AM,the electricity finally came back as I mentioned in yesterday’s blog, the power cut happened because of the rain during the night.

Then Achan and I cleaned the remaining kitchen tiles together. After that,I finished mopping the floor, and finally it was bath time for me too.

Oh yes,I also forgot to mention something from yesterday’s blog I had made a DIY nameplate and hung it outside the door.Honestly, I really liked how it looked.

Meanwhile, kira had gone to bring breakfast, and by then everyone at home was getting ready to welcome the guests. We were all excitedly waiting for them to arrive.

Finally, the first car came nalla, mani, appu, sathy, and supra arrived.Everyone started having breakfast together.Since we had to leave before 12,the whole atmosphere was full of hurry, noise, and chaos.

Then the second car arrived with shuma, papan, sushmi, and ammama.Seeing everyone together at home genuinely made me so happy.

Ponnu was a little upset today because she had to stay outside, but she kept taking sneak peeks at everyone whenever possible.Honestly, it was funny. surprisingly, the people who weren’t scared of her met her properly, so she became happy too.

After breakfast, everyone started getting ready.I first helped amma get ready, and after that I quickly changed my dress too.Honestly, because of the heat, I just wanted to get ready quickly and be done with it.

The first trip was the gents group, and later the ladies group headed out. The heat was honestly unbearable everyone was literally melting because of the garmi.

When we finally reached the place, there was another problem no electricity there. The lift wasn’t working,so the staircase was the only option. Everyone was wondering how ammama would climb, but suddenly kira picked her up for a moment and she immediately said,“Please put me down!”🤣 After that, she slowly walked herself.

Finally, we reached upstairs.Everyone welcomed us warmly, meet-and-greet happened, and honestly, the cold sprite at that moment felt like heaven.

Then all the elders got busy in their conversations while the rest of us enjoyed snacks and spent time together.

Nalla had gifted her a dress, and she wore that beautiful red outfit literally giving “pari hu main” vibes. After that, the photo session started. We clicked so many pictures while suffering from the heat at the same time.Everyone’s condition because of the weather was honestly terrible.

After all that chaos, laughter, heat, photos, and family moments,we finally returned home.

As soon as we came back, everyone quickly changed clothes and settled inside kira’s room because the AC was on,and honestly, after that heat, all we wanted was to cool ourselves down.

Then came the food session.kiran had brought chicken biryani, mutton biryani, and khichdi for the people who eat veg. Along with that, Achan made homemade fish fry pomfret and mandeli fry. The whole house suddenly smelled like a proper family gathering.

Then we all sat together and had lunch while Kira served everyone. Honestly, it felt like such a warm and cute family moment.

And of course, in the middle of lunch, the electricity went away again. But thankfully this time it came back within 5–10 minutes, so everyone got relieved quickly.

After lunch, we had our chilled thumbs up and sprite time.Actually, the bottles got finished quickly, so kitapu brought more again. Then slowly everyone went into rest mode. Some people took naps, some were talking, some watched movies, and overall the house had that lazy afternoon family vibe.

We also had our mango session together, and just like that, the afternoon passed peacefully.

Around 5:30, everyone woke up again and had tea. Later, we went to the garden for some fresh air, and there I saw the moon again. Honestly, these small moments make the day feel complete.

After some time, more guests came home, so we welcomed them warmly.amma wore a blue kurta, and she looked really cute in it. It was actually the second time she wore that outfit.

I gave sprite to the guests while everyone settled in. Then came snacks and tea time. There was also a cute little girl who came with them.

All the ladies who came were also taken around the house to see everything properly. The house suddenly felt so alive with conversations, laughter, people moving around, and that warm family gathering energy.

Around 7:15, kitapu’s booked car arrived because some of my relatives had to return to Mumbai. One family left first, then another family also left. Meanwhile, our ammama stayed back with us for a few more days.

The guests who had come later also left, and kira dropped them.

After everyone left,Ponnu finally came inside happily again.

After all that, we had another small chilling session with thumbs up p while talking together.me,kitapu, and achan were just sitting and talking randomly. Everyone looked genuinely happy with how beautifully the day had gone.Touchwood for that feeling.

It honestly felt good seeing everyone so satisfied and happy after such a long day full of chaos, work, guests, laughter, and memories.

Later, kiran and  i talked for a long time, and i even applied oil to his hair.Compared to previous days, we had dinner quite early around 9:30.

After dinner, we went outside for a small walk with Ammama. The garden felt cool and peaceful at night. The whole day had been loud, crowded, energetic, and full of movement, but now everything felt calm and silent.

At home too, after everyone started leaving, the atmosphere slowly changed.Earlier the house was full of noise, excitement, and that “ghar mein sab log hai” feeling. Now it slowly became peaceful again.

Before ending the day, we had mangoes together. achan cut and served them for everyone, and honestly, it felt like the perfect ending to such a wholesome day.

And yes my cats were literally in full “silent mode.” Whenever kichu, kattunni, and kittunni see too many new faces, they become completely quiet and disappear into their safe places.

Kittunni stayed hidden under the cupboard most of the time and only came out after everyone left, Kattunni sat quietly near the washbasin, and another one stayed inside the bathroom most of the time.

Did vc to khush for 1min may be we seen each other and talked internet issue is another level🥲.

Amid all the celebrations, this was the moment that quietly touched my heart the most:

> During all the joy,I deeply missed jaya ammayi her laughter, the elegance with which she wore her sarees, and the warmth she brought to every moment.her absence was felt in the smallest of things, reminding us how much we still carry her in our hearts.

> When Kitapu gave a small piece of sweet to ammama,a quiet thought crossed my mind if only achama had been there with us too. That moment felt incomplete without her presence.

> Standing in between of both to take photo,I suddenly felt overwhelmed with emotion. My heart was filled with a deep sense of gratitude towards God for letting me witness such a beautiful moment. No words could truly express what I was feeling, but my eyes quietly did.

So yes, that’s how the day went full of happiness, family time, gratitude, chaos, food, laughter, and so many beautiful little memories.

tata-bye Rab Rahka...
